Aruba Orange Economy

Aruba Orange Economy Perspectives

Develop our own Aruba Orange Economy as an innovative catalyst that significantly contributes to our GDP. By investing in the creative and cultural sectors, we can amplify local expressions and position Aruba as a unique destination in the Caribbean. Alongside economic growth, we focus on preserving our Aruban cultural heritage and identity.

To innovate and diversify our economy through the Creative and Cultural Industry, we need Legal and Regulatory reforms in Tax, Intellectual Property, labor Laws and International Payment Regulations. These changes will unlock the full economic potential of our creative and cultural industries.

Our cultural heritage and creative expression defines our identity. Our multicultural history makes us unique in the Caribbean and we aim to preserve this with sustainable infrastructures for our traditions, music, art and festivals. Innovation is key to growing our creative industries to preserve what makes us Arubiano.

San Nicolas is our cultural hub, offering a unique Caribbean experience with its rich heritage and traditions. By investing in its cultural and creative expression, we aim to transform it into a year round cultural tourism destination, improving transport, business, housing and social spaces while creating more jobs and opportunities.

To grow the Aruba Orange Economy we must reform Intellectual Property Laws. Strengthening these laws will protect local creative works, foster innovation and allow creators to benefit economically. This will drive economic growth, attract investment and create jobs in our creative industries.

To develop our creative and cultural industry, we need to align local departments and organizations with a structured approach to funding and incentives. Ideally, a single government department should oversee the sector for greater efficiency.

Investing in creative entrepreneurship boosts our creative and cultural industries, empowering individuals to create businesses, jobs, and innovative products. This fosters economic dignity and provides opportunities for growth based on talent and cultural heritage.

Investing in education focused on cultural heritage and creative expression will help children value their creative talents and culture. By promoting creative entrepreneurship and celebrating our culture daily, we will build a generation of proud Arubans. This begins with education.

We aim to establish Made in Aruba as a brand of authenticity, quality and originality, promoting Aruban products locally and internationally, starting locally and expanding regionally and globally.
